I would like to include an entry form for various competitions.
There would be a main form with the details of the person making the entry, generally a parent or college, and a sub form with details of all the competitors that would be entered, perhaps one person only, but often two or more people, occasionally over 10 people.
I would like a main form and a sub form related to the main form but capable of having additional lines of entry by clicking on a button to add additional lines.
Can that be achieved, and if so how?
Many thanks
Sub form - Post ID 177594
I think right now your best approach is a section on the form for the organization information (that is common to all participants) and the next section down a series of name, age, etc lines for each participant.
If the organization dosen't fill in all of the participant spaces than no problem, those spaces will just be blank in your data.

Whilst that would be a way to achieve the object, it has considerable design complications. Some entries could have as many as 30, 40 or even 50 competitors, whilst most would have 1 - 3. How many lines should I include in the design? If the maximum, say 10, is reached, will not the entrant get fed up with having to enter the organisational details a second, third or even fifth time? A sub-form would be the neatest solution, but I suppose from your answer that that does not exist within Form Builder. Am I right?
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
