So it went away without doing anything or did you redo the form?

I didn't do anything. When I opened the FB up to make a change in the settings, all was well. When I saved it and re-inserted it in VSD, the text showed up. After I saw the other thread about this, I opened up FB again and there was the text in the previously empty submit box. This time it said 'submit query' instead of just 'submit'. I deleted it, so I guess I'll just keep an eye on that whenever I change anything else

Maybe there's a gremlin infestation around here
