I have signed up for a MailChimp account, I have a API, I have read the help file. Sort of. Now to create a list. Lets out an evil snicker :o . Now who deserves to hear from me, constantly, more snickering. No more Mr nice guy. Now the thing to remember Prism is good, Prism is the best, People who are nice to Prism are not on his list. The power, Prism basks in his sudden feeling of power over the populous.

Seriously now as I see it. Someone correct me if I am wrong. The form passes information via a list structure to MailChimp who in turn sends out the emails based on the schedule and settings.

Yep that's exactly what happens. When you create your email through MailChimp or I think even if you copy and paste your own HTML Email code, it will code all the links to have extra code in them that adds a MailChimp code to them so that it will register any time someone opens the email, clicks a link from the email etc. Basically helps you keep track of how many people are actually opening your emails and how many are actually clicking on links and what links etc.

It's a pretty nice setup and pretty easy to use for Newsletters and such. :)

I set one up for my moms campground. The potential list isn't that big but I'll use the form builder to make a sign up form.

Seems Ideal for The Art Society Website I am working on. We have over 200 members and postage is expensive for our news letters. I will have a ball getting that working. Have to spend time on the mail out creation. A guy could never be bored. A pen pal of mine in Russia is interested in this soft. I will give it a good plug. She should like it I am sure I will check if it comes in Russian. We tried communicating by Skype but I don't know Russian and her English was not good. She said a lot do not speak English and it is a problem with software no Russian version. Ahh the power of the internet it allows one to share interests and ideas with interesting people the world over. Trouble is time to spend translating some messages.

I love CC ware and spread the word worldwide due to the fact I sell software and get to communicate. I re did a app in Latvian, Japanese and one in Arabic for someone in Iraq. They are so interesting and remember 90% of the worlds population are decent people. I love em all.

Yes it looks like MailChimp does all the heavy lifting, More study, I get asked by retired friends what they can do with their time. A computer ;)

St Petersburg actually, The average Russian is as good a person as the rest of us. Family man with a Boy and Girl, Bonza guy. Ahh! would it be I had the funds to meet some of the dozens of people I have the privilege to converse with around the world. Where would we be without translation programs though.

I love my CC programs and always give credit where due.

Yes, I looked just like that in 1962.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
