2 Style sheets conflicting on my...

I am working on a responsive site using HTML editor - so for so good. (although hours of trial & error)

I have also successfully created a responsive image slider that works great on a page by itself.

As soon as I put the image slider onto the exciting responsive page it will not display/size correctly. It seems that the existing default.css is interfering with it. (I have a style sheet for each)

I have tried using the menu tag instead of the ul tag as ul is used in both & switching the order of the .css links but nothing seems to work.

I have recreated it & placed it in an existing Coffeecup Responsive Theme for you to see. This way I know it is not me messing about with the default.css that had caused this to happen. (the original default.css has not been touch here).

Here is the link with an explanation on the page. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Eric, I am having a similar problem with another project.

I have the original Canvas - HTML Editor (Responsive) theme & have downloaded the free Canvas Theme with embedded menu from the menu-builder-resources - thanks Coffeecup :)

The problem I have is the free version does not have a header & the 2 do not seem to mix. I have tried to put the header in. If I try to edit either .css file it pushes something out of place on the other & I can not figure out which bit to edit!

Here is the page so far. (This is a test site).

I did a quick redo. It's not quite perfect but it's closer. See attached.:)

Thanks for that Eric. It did put me in the right direction, it was the #mainRight padding margin I needed to adjust. It is difficult to know which style sheet I should be editing. Maybe I will get the hang of it eventually. ;)

I use Firefox and have the plugin Firebug activated so I can alter code and see the results. It's like having a designer without the worry of breaking anything.
