On my self-help massage page, I want to create a "symptom checker" of sorts.
I would like to have an anatomical image of a human body, with hot spots, or links in the form of little target-shaped icons, that are placed on specific areas of the body where the most common trouble spots are found.
Can I do this with nested tables?
Does anyone have any suggestions for me before I get myself deep into it?
This is the first time for me to attempt anything like this, so I would like some advice for a good starting point before I get started on the wrong foot.
Thanks!

It would be very difficult to do with nested tables. What you should do is create an image map. I think that would be perfect for what your trying to do.

You can also use pop up speech bubbles in image maps.

CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Well, thanks for the speedy replies! I will go look at the image mapper right now!
Thanks, guys
Here's what I made:
(There are no pages that link to the hot spots yet, but I think it's fun to look at)

That is a great site. Innovative idea regarding the use of your images.

I click on the bodies and keep getting a not found error page.

Nice idea there, Janys.... Now I have to buy that (image mapper), too!

Looks good, Esther!

Love the look of your site Esther I think it will definitely be a great tool for your customers and possible customers, I would love to see more detailed tooltips on it though if maybe you gave some thought to that?
Maybe when people mouse over a specific area you can have the image do a rollover color change too? And maybe the tooltips could have info on the exact reason that the pain in those areas might occur, just a brief couple sentences with a "Click for More Info" at the end? Just a thought, but I love this idea and now I have to play with the image mapper too LOL. Thanks for sharing
