I am wanting to build my first e-commerce site but am unsure about how it works. Do I build the site then use Shopping Cart Creator Pro to build the e-commerce part of the site or do I use Shopping Cart Creator Pro to build the entire site?

Not a stupid question at all, it's asked quite a bit The Shopping Cart Creator programs create the full site for you. You can add up to 5 extra pages other than those automatically created (Shop Home, View Cart and Categories) so usually that does the trick for most shops. You can also create pages outside of the shopping cart system if you want to make your own Home page and some other extra pages as the program allows you to setup the Home page to an external link. Then you would just include the Shop on your Menu of your outside pages and be good to go.

In the end it's all about how you want to create it, but suffice it to say that the programs can create the entire shop for you if you'd rather do it all in one place, and it does pretty well. Enjoy and check out the Trial versions before you move on so you understand how they work. Be sure to get the Shopping Cart Designer Pro program for the best ability of editing your themes, it has the most features and rumors are that the Basic may be going away so don't waste your money on that one (it's really a lot less features than the Pro version is anyways).
