Can't get FTP to work in Windows 10.
Tried the FTP from within the Editor and noticed the website still displayed old files. Cleared cache, didn't work.
Tried Direct FTP, drug new files over, looked like everything was correct, but no luck. Old site files haven't been replaced.

Is there some setting in Win10 that controls this? It won't let me connect to a printer, it won't let me set up email through its own Windows email program... now I can't transfer files. :(

So it shows the directories?
Does the HTML Editor still work?
Is this the same for every server?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Just wrote a long description, lost internet connection right when I hit the reply button.

Long story short – In Win 10, the FTP works fine... it just creates new places to put my files. I didn't change any FTP settings, but like other things with this operating system – it decides how it will or won't do something.
I found another public_html folder that was placed within the existing public_html folder. So that's where new files are going to.
I may just need to stick with Win 7 for my existing website accounts. It never tries to change my wi-fi connections or any other settings I rely on.

Sounds like malware is messing with you.

Have AVG running, and I run IObit anti-malware scans and CCleaner every day.
I run scans on everything before opening or unzipping. Also run MalwareBytes around once a week (it never finds anything).

Everything always comes up clean, so I don't know what else to do to find if there's something hiding in here. :(

I only have one other website project on here, so far it's been fine but maybe that's because it originated from here rather than coming from the existing site files on the old computer. Guess I'll wait awhile before moving all my software, email, etc. over here.

Yes. I was so relieved to finally get something up to date, but I am not loving Win 10. :(
I hate to think my 10+ year old laptop will have to remain my main work PC.
