How to show an html list - or maybe...
Hi,
I am using VSD. I am trying to accomplish this in a number of ways but have failed every time. I would like suggestions.
I am making a text list, each line is a link to a Youtube video or a product at Amazon.
I tried using the text tool and that is successful. Even though it is all in one text block, I can "link" each line separately and it works that way. There is no control however, like sorting and more.
So I made the list in Word (Open Office actually) and hyper linked each line and save it as an html page. I can see the file displayed properly when I url to it (http://www.morepetergregg.com/List-test.html) I put that file on my server and am trying to get VSD to display that page in an HTML box. It shows up, but as soon as i click on it all text freezes and all text disappears.
What is going wrong, or is there a better approach? I am working on this site at the moment - http://www.morepetergregg.com/

Why not type the words out in VSD then link them using the link tool?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
This is a site I built for my work.(RSD)

This is my personal site used for testing and as an easy way to share photos.(RLM imported to RSD)

Why not use the HTML tool and insert an HTML list? The setup is pretty simple for the most part so you can do the following and just insert your own text and link info:
<ul>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
</ul>
I would think you could create yourself a visual box to put this on/into and then create the HTML box on top of that to give it some body.
<ul>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
<li><a href="insert link here">Insert link text here</a></li>
</ul>

Thanks Eric and Jo Ann. I tried your way Eric, it works but I have very little control. i am trying Jo Ann's suggestion and that is looking much better.
Thanks,
Peter
