Hi All

Well I've got my first CC up on the webserver finally.

But I'm have trouble getting my links from my navigation menu on my wesite front page ( Made with VSD) to find the catagory in the shopping cart (made with CC Shopping Cart Creator).

I have text boxes with links that i want to link to specific catagories in my shopping cart.

My website is www.thespirituallygifted.com

and using a text link I want to go i.e. to this group in the shopping cart:
The_Spiritually_Gifted\shop_files\group0.html

the website www.thespirituallygifted.com is located in the 'ROOT' folder
I uploaded all the shopping cart files to the root/shop folder

can anyone give me the proper text link to go from my home site in the root folder to
the individual catagory folder (groups) in the root/shop folder

Thanks a lot

Hiya Vince,

Although I'm unaware how a link is added in VSD, I can say that its very easy to get the links. Just open your shop online, navigate to the category or product you want to use a link for and copy that link from the address bar. Wallah! You now have a link to your shop page that you can put into your editor :) How to put them in though someone else will have to answer as I don't use VSD sorry.

Hi Jo An

I do not know how to get the shopping cart to load since my domain name only point to my VSD website located in the root folder. The cart is in root/shop folder

Maybe I need to be able to create a path to the cart directly in Explorer first.

Im not sure how to do that any ideas?
Thanks

Vince

Hiya Vince,

Is your site uploaded to your server? If so just go to your domain name with /shop on the end and that should be your shop page so it would be like:

http://www.yourdomainnamehere.com/shop

Adding /shop/ to the end didn't work for me. I had to put in exactly what the folder saved as when I uploaded it. It seems to save the folder in different ways when I use the programs upload feature vs. an FTP program, which is confusing when you have to figure out which one to use/link to.

All hosts are different and we can only make recommendations based on what we have done or have seen others do. The best thing to do is to check with your host for specific ftp settings to make sure their correct. Glad you got it figured out.:)
