I was just wondering how long it takes you folks on average is a good time period for a new site to get noticed on search engines? With me its usually quite a bit longer on Google than the others. Any thoughts?

If you submit your site map to Google and they index some of your pages then they will show up in the search results.:) Now getting it to the number one position is whole other topic.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

 Getting it to the first page or even the second page. I know it depends on the site itself, if your against big players in a particular market, then your probably never going to get to no1 in the charts :P
