Has anyone had any luck getting the new Twitter timeline widget to show up on their site? (using HTML Editor, Win7 64bit, Firefox, IE9, Opera, Chrome, Safari – I tried it on a VSD/SDrive site too, same results).
There are dozens of posts on the Twitter forum complaining about it not working. Instead of the widget, all that displays on the webpage is a link to Twitter that says "Tweets by @twitter name here".

No real solution on Twitter – just check to make sure the domain name is correct. I'd like to know why it works for a few people and not for so many others :/

Here's the code straight from Twitter:
<a class="twitter-timeline" href="https://twitter.com/SpiralCoffee" data-widget-id="264894554933698561">Tweets by @SpiralCoffee</a>
<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>

I set one up on my host and it displayed correctly.:) It wouldn't display during local preview though.:(
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Guess I better upload a test page for it so it will have the same URL as the account. The widget as-is is way too large, so I'll have to see if it can be re-sized after uploading it :(
The old Twit widget would work on any site; preview or live.

The ultimate goal is to be able to display just one tweet (like a news announcement), but I can't get any of the scripts I've found for this to work. Could it be because it's a preview page? This had just what I wanted:

Much better options than the official Twitter timeline.

You can set the size of the widget in the setup. At least the height anyways.:) Which should give you the control on having only one tweet showing. I don't know if they scroll automatically or not.
