View in Browser view is different...

Two Questions:

1) Should I be concerned about seeing two radically different results in "External Preview" and "View in Browser?" I'm using a border-radius css rule to create rounded corners and it doesn't work in "External Preview" but it works in "View in Browser. "

2) Is there a shortcut to "View in Browser?"

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Michael,
I'm assuming HTML editor here.;)
Under "Tools" then "Preferences" then the "Browser Testing" Tab, check what you have set for "Internal Preview Uses". You probably have IE7 or 8 selected.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hiya Mike,

One of the main things is to be sure if you are using IE or a different browser for preview in browser. The reason you need to be aware of the differences is that some things don't display the same in different browsers. The browser default that the HTML Editor works with is IE so anything that doesn't display correctly in IE will not display correctly in the preview either (some things are exceptions to this rule).

If you preview in Firefox or Safari etc. you'll most likely come across differences from the HTML Editor preview as it uses only IE as the rendering setup for previews.

Hope that helps.
