Web Form builder Totals selected...
My Web form has 2 sections.
Section 1 : has a selector list. 5 different check boxes with a price on each.
only one option is to be checked
Section 2 : Has some options. Check any number of 4 options.
Each option has a price
How can i get the basic form, when submitted, to give me the final price for the registrant?
I need to email that amount back to the registrant with banking instructions.
I now own HTML editor and Visual Page designer (though no experience of either.
Off to read the books to see what the lay of the land is.

You could use some php to add the variables for you from either a csv file of MySql database.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Eric you and i read this differently, I think he may not understand your answer (hope i am wrong)
However i spoke to Scott about this two weeks ago, and CC have plans to incorporate calculations into a future update.
Mind you Scott has learned not to say SOON
I did discover yesterday from another thread, you can add a payment REQUIRED or NOT option for the customer to enter the total themselves to make a payment via Paypal

Like I said Viv you are the man

I have not used the payment options of the form builder yet so I am not sure quite how it functions, but I would assume it would function similar to how it works in the Shop Creator programs? If they order something using it it will automatically send you an email to tell you what was purchased and the total amounts etc. so if you need to email them back an amount you should have all that information. If you email the full results back to the client, I would imagine they would get that same information too?
Am I wrong here in how this works, could be as I said I haven't used it, but seems that it would be an internally setup thing where the Payment system of it is concerned.

Jo Ann SCCP does not send anyone anything, because untill the customer is transfered to Paypal (other payment providers also available ) there are no details collected
However manually you can go into SCCP sales record (not called that) and there is a list of all the order transactions and cart details, but no client details, just the Paypal payment number.
My guess is the form builder must do something different as it is collecting the name, email address etc.

Right Viv, but either way the PayPal setup will send you an email with all the order details so I guess I'm trying to understand why they would need the form builder to total it up for an email. Totalling it up for within the page while they order I can see, that would make sense, but the email will come from PayPal with all the order details (PayPal or whatever payment gateway you use that is, some of them you have to go get the information at, but that's them not the form builder).
Anyways, my point is that you do get an email from most of the payment gateways about all the order details, totals, taxes, shipping etc. that has all the information the original poster is wanting to get from form builder..... unless of course I'm misunderstanding their need and they will be "billing" the customers and not taking direct orders. That's a whole different ball game then and then I could see that you'd need some way to get total information.
