Hi
I am very new to CC. I had hired a freelancer to create an ecommerce site 10 years ago which allowed me to sell 20 children's books that I authored. I am slightly familiar with html but not very comfortable with java or css.
Anyway, my original site was built in flash. It had a 5 by 4 table (5 columns and 4 rows) which had a pop-up description and a title and price of each book. A buyer would select which books to buy by "checking off" a small box in each of the book boxes. Those books were added to the shopping cart.
Now, I need help in redesigning the site (preferably in CC, as that is the one I am trying).
First, I would like a slow slideshow of cover images of my books on top. I think one can do that in html5, though I have no idea how to do that.
Following that, I would like to offer my books in a singular column manner (cover image, followed by title, ISBN, price and a small check box to "select" for purchase). So, there will be 20 such rows for 20 books.

My humble request is:
(a) How can I get a sample html code which will create a slide show of my cover images?
(b) How can i list my books in a columnar format, that is how can I transfer the source code of my original site which was a 5 X 4 matrix, into that of a 20 X 1 table?

Any advice (other than using vix or weebly or hiring a very expensive web designer) would be sincerely appreciated.

Hi p5485,

What software will you be using from Coffeecup to redesign your website.

Site Designer is a good choice. You would need to choose which framework you want to use, and I would recommend Foundation, as it has the largest 'congregation' among the users in this forum, so you are likely to get help when you need it.
As for sample code, I have a wee sharing folder with samples of various things, and quite often, if people ask about something I haven't got, I try to create it. Most of my samples are for Foundation. You find a link in my signature.

For a slide show, take a look at the 'Orbit slider', For the column thingie maybe the 'Masonry brickwork' could be used. You find them both in the 'Galleries' section.
Ha en riktig god dag!
