Problems with saved and published...
My website hosting company is, MechanicWeb and I use this service to host a few websites for church folk. Here is my problem:
I developed a 4 page website and saved it. After some thinking, I decided to make a number of changes and re-saved the website. However, what I discovered was, when I re-published the website none of the changes I made showed up. In other words, I looked as if I was saving webpage changes to one set of files/directory, but was publishing to another directory that showed the website without any of the changes to it's pages. I sure hope you can understand what I'm trying to say here. I need help finding out where why all the saving to pages are not showing up when I re-publish the website??? Can anyone help me with this problem??? Thank you for your patience and input help.

Hi Bob, what software are you using for your website?

Bob, did you refresh the page? Check with another browser? From another computer? Clear your browser cache? Check if your changes were saved at all? And uploaded?
If all this does not help, wait for an hour or two, maybe the server has turned cache on and it therefore may take some time for your changes to show. You may also contact your web host and ask what is going on.

Hello all and I want to thank you so much for advising me on this major problem I've been working on since this morning when I posted here. I have done a number of refreshes. I am using Xara Web Designer Premium version 15. I am fairly sure in am saving the website. When I've made changes and go to my cPanel area I can see the dates change, so, I assume this 4 page website is being saved. Not being that computer literate, I am not 100% certain . I am almost certain I am saving to one area and publishing in another if that makes any sense. I have attached a file below that I believe represents the latest version of this 4 page website. There should not be a black square on the contact page. If there is, this is the wrong version. I had planned to use the black square as a placeholder for a Coffee Cup Form. The latest saved version should have a grill with lots of hotdogs and bbq ribs below. Hope this helps. Sorry, this forum would not let me attach my file because of its size I'm guessing.
Try opening your website in an incognito/private browser to see any new changes I would suggest?
I would be inclined to check that the updated files are being saved to the public_html directory, which is what I believe would be the normal place to put them using cpanel.

Bob, if the file size is too much for this forum, you can pop your file into your Dropbox or similar, and give us the path.
What Frank says is important. The public_html folder may also go by other names, depending on the server. If you don 't find it, look for folders called 'web', 'www', 'http_docs'. Anyway, If you see your old files in a folder on the server, that is where your new ones should be.

Happily MechanicWeb provide this page which reveals that they call the folder public_html.

Since I cannot log into that page, I'll just take your word for it
