<p>Hi I am assuming that some of you newbies may have a little more know how than
myself. After paying a lot of money for a template and prestashop to up date
my <a href="http://www.kidsgownsnrobes.co.uk">childrens dressing gowns</a> website,
I have
downloaded
the
trial
shopping
cart
from Coffee Cup.
Has anyone else had experience with prestashop and able to tell me whether
I am going to find this much easier. At the moment using Paypal buttons on
my website,
which is less than ideal. Is anyone going to be intergrating Paypal into their
Coffee Cup site or do you think it better to set up a merchant account. </p>
<p>If so, do you know how difficult this is. At this point in time I have more
questions than answers - perhaps someone can also let me know how good the
Coffee Cup Support is?

I feel that, as a newbie, Coffee Cup is the only way to go. I now nothing about website building and with SCCP it was an easy thing to do (with the exception of the shipping setup).

I have no experience with prestashop so I can't help you there.

At the present time SCCP only has a few ways of doing your merchant accounting, PayPal being one. I realize that is not one of the favorites for you Brits. Not sure why. But there is a merchant account in SCCP that would benefit you; Worldpay. I don't think it is all that hard to set up a merchant account. Much more involved that PayPal, but not that hard. I have an account through my business account with my bank but it cannot be used with SCCP; it is USAePay.

I am using PayPal with my SCCP and I am very happy with it. I have always been happy with PayPal, but then I have never had more than $1,000 in my PayPal account. I have heard horror stories of people loosing (or at least having it frozen) their money. Don't know if you can believe internet rumors.

As for CC support---Best in the industry. Just type a question here in the forum or do a support ticket and your question is answered almost immediately.

Hope this helps.

SCC pro is the easiest cart i have used , out of five in total

Paypal is already built in and if you use standard, its just a case of add your email address

Paypal buttons take hours, to set up, i have them on part of my site in signature as a backup

CC support is exceptional, and the forum is like a friend in deed, for a friend in need

Take programs for a free test ride for between 10 and thirty days, if you do not like it i will eat my hat, and its made of fibreglass !!

There is something new in the pipeline, for us newbies it will be a godsend, SEE Visual site designer & S drive ( i speek from experience, I am beta testing it)

Have fun :)

Started using CC VSD in January 2009, I don't do HTML code, Sales from CC site exceeding expectations taken me out of semi-retirement

I have built many shops with CC shopping cart and it is easy to work with. It could be a good idea to get the Shopping cart designer as well as it will give you the ability to style your shop to suit your own business.

:)
