Hi

I am wanting to build a website that i can list part numbers as well as a picture or the part, but i need to link this with some sort of integration so i can have real time or a slight delay in stock levels.

Some parts would also be listed on ebay can i also link this with the site?

So what if any coffee cup sofware could i use?

You can use VSD. Download the trial and see how easy it is to create websites.

Must say I am disappointed it coffee cup, this forum is very slow at loading (not my connection) and there are small annoying bugs everywhere.

I have looked at a few sites done on this software and have found nothing to inspire me to buy or even try!

Everything looks amatureish

VSD, as well as the HTML Editor, Shopping Cart, etc... are only tools. They can't turn someone into a pro designer overnight And, not everyone here is even concerned about that. Many are small biz owners on tight budgets who find that VSD will let them get a site up quickly without having to learn html, css....
I've seen plenty of hideous sites done in Dreamweaver; the software (any software) only spits out what the user puts into it. There are plenty of pro-coders who do everything from scratch, yet can't design their way out of a paper bag. So don't blame the software for the end result!
If you have a look at some of the themes available for CC products, you'll see it's possible to create anything you can think up.

I know nothing about the slow-loading or bugs - I've never experienced either on here - maybe someone else can figure out what's going on.

It might not be the internet connection that's the problem but a lack of a connection on your end. If you do as paintbrush suggest and take a better look around you will find sites using all of CC's software that look great!

I don't know where 'kwikauction' lives, but as for myself, living way away from America, I sometimes find that the CC website is slow, not in loading, but the connection.

Other than that, I find every piece of CC software as good as, or better than some expensive alternatives I've tried out over the years. And the software doesn't DESIGN the webpages, as Paintbrush has pointed out, it only produces what the person using it has been thinking up.

I'm in the UK, I know what you mean about design and i am no designer but know what i need and want, but need help with the integration of stock.

There are plenty of stock systems but i need to integrate at a live level.

1 - Never had a problem with speed on the forum's, but then again, I'm state-side (not sure if that really makes a difference).

2 - Yeah, some sites designed with the software probably do look 'amateur-ish', probably because not everyone that uses this software are professional web designers. You must not have looked through all of the sites that are posted, cause I KNOW there are many well designed sites (both with HTML Editor and VSD).

Quite frankly, I have a hard time believing that you're going to base your decision on using this software or not based on what others were able to create. Kind of harsh judgement toward CC in my opinion. Why not RATHER download one or both of the editors TRIAL VERSIONS (which are fully functional by the way) and SEE WHAT YOU CAN MAKE

In Italy here...the connection varies according to time and traffic but is generally pretty good. Yet again...your own connection has a lot to do with that and how much work your computer is doing at any given time. Open up 10 programmes and it's likely that things will get groggy. Often I find it is enough to just shut down and reboot to get things back on track and speeded up a bit.
