Forgive me if this has been asked already and I didn't read it but will all the changes made during trial period stay after purchasing?

Are the advantages over regular and pro version worth the extra expense or will the regular version do all I need it to do?

Since we don't know what you want the software to do, there's no way to conclusively state whether the regular version will completely fulfill your requirements.

My recommendation, certified 99-44/100% irrelevant: Go straight to the Pro versions. Chances are, you will find something that even they won't do, eventually. But that point will come much sooner with the regular versions.

The Pro versions do quite a bit more and are recommended. Better to spend more up front, than to be stuck with software you don't want and cannot upgrade to the Pro version. Best advice is to fully try the 30-day trials.

There a few differences between the shopping cart basic and the pro. One of the main advantages of the pro is that it gives you the options for the inventory tracking and the weight based shipping which you do not have with the basic version.
The best combination is to purchase the Shopping Cart Pro and the Designer Pro as the designer Pro gives you far more options to customize your website design. I would say the Shopping Cart Pro and Designer Pro go together like horse and carriage.

My advice download both trail version and test them out.

I'm curious about the HTML Editor program. I'm currently using HomeSite on a back up laptop, which I found extremely easy to use. Now that Adobe is no longer supporting this and I'm not able to install this on a laptop with Windows 7, I needed to find another program that is as easy to use.

Can I import my current html documents, css and such directly into this program or will I need to create all the html code all over again? I'm not a pro at this, but was able to work with HomeSite very well.

The HTML Editor is regarded as very easy to use, and you can import any html and css documents into it.

I also have some fond memories of Homesite, from before Adobe took over. I started out with version 1.0.

Thanks Inger for your comments. I've downloaded the trial program and played with it a little. It has some differences, so it's just a matter of learning how to get around and finding the shortcut functions that I'm used to being displayed differently.

I only started using HomeSite with version 5.5, and couldn't believe how easy it was to navigate.
