Transferring from trial to paid -...
Hi. I have downloaded the trial version of the visual website builder and had a fiddle about with it, and its exactly what I want. My question is, I have, during fiddling, created a nice looking front page and instead of doing it all again, I wondered if when I bought the actual program, it will just give me some sort of code to validate the trial version, or does it give me the whole thing again and I have to start from scratch?

Hiya Hamish,
What you do is you backup the files it created for you for your site so that they are safe and sound. I don't know exactly what all the files would be, but the .vnu file is 100% for sure. Find the directory it's saving your site files in and make a backup of it making sure the .vnu file is in there (if you can't find it let us know and someone will guide you to where that info is saved.
After you do that, uninstall the trial version, reboot your computer, install the registered version and then use the files you saved to continue working on your site. Don't worry though, I don't believe any of the programs by CC delete any of our working files, only the files for the program itself.

Besides the .vnu, there should be a folder called 'Files' that has all your images and graphics (this is created by VSD. Just create a folder to put all your web site stuff in (galleries, forms, original photos and graphics, animations, etc.) along with the .vnu and Files folder.
Have fun with VSD!

You could just save you website under a new name Like "My website name"backup to what ever file you like. But the most important thing is to confirm the files are there before you install the reg. version.
