Hi. I don't come here often so I am quite far behind on things. When I first started using Coffeecup software 16 years ago any updates and new versions were included. I recently purchased Responsive site designer and I see it has an upgrade, which is an extra charge, vs update which had been free with other software though I don't know if it still is. I've traveled with you through most of the html editors only because they were free. When did requiring payment for new versions come about and what all will it effect? I don't have a lot of money to spend on stuff and I've always appreciated the ability to keep my purchase in tune with the times without having to spend more.

That policy disappeared many many years ago. Coffeecup has moved on to a more sustainable business model quite similar to many other software companies out there. I still buy their software because it truly is leading the industry and always on the cutting edge. I would love to have all the upgrades and new software for free too but think if it was your business, would you give everything away for free?
