Personally I think that Coffeecup is great, the support is very lacking and even inattentive. I have only asked for help one time and got none. My problem was and still is with Shopping Cart Creator.
When I export the files for export, the shopping cart does not appear on my web browser. I found this while updating my shopping cart that has been running for about a year. The only change that I made was to change a shipping rate for one of our products.
I then manually edited one of the data files from the previous build. I then uploaded these files and directories and everything ran fine.
I then made a mistake and commented on my trouble ticket about what I did. The response that i got from Coffeecup was they were pleased that I got it going properly and closed the trouble ticket.
I then wrote that the problem was not solved and that I can not use the product to add new products or do anything else with it
I tried to work on th shopping cart on another computer today and got the same result. NOTHING WORKS when uploaded

Michael,
I am sorry that you had this experience with CoffeeCup. You can be assured though that Scott will check into this as he always does when a post like this arises. I ran the shopping cart once very recently on XP, and it did the same thing to me. I would upload it, then I would not be able to find the folder it was supposed to upload to. Not sure if this is a bug in the system or what, but recently the cart has had some issues regarding certain OS. However, I have reported them and they have all been answered within 24 hours.

Stay tuned though while someone checks into it for you. :)

We have actually been waiting on a reply from you since last Thursday. The ticket was closed today due to lack of response. If you are still having issues, please update your ticket with the information Orlando was requesting.

However I must say I do not think this is an issue with the software reading over the information you have provided. When you do an Export, the software will generate all necessary files to process your shop. It sounds like to me you just are not exporting it to a place where you can find the files. We took the same source files you provided us and we can export the shop without any problems.

This is why we always recommend you use the built in FTP.

I am also not sure how you can say we are lacking an inattentive. We have replied to each and every ticket in an extremely timely manner.

*is trying to figure out when he asked for help on the forums ever with his 1 single post*

Must have only done a ticket I guess, that's actually better than some do Michael lol, most come to the forums and expect super support without putting in a ticket so you did good. Yes you do need to answer them though and participate in the support in order to get it though :)

David McConnell's post is what I like to call a "bitch and ditch." You post just to bitch about something vague and never really pinpoint any one specific source of frustration. You're not really interested in anyone's response. And, then ditch the post and move on.

David, there are dozens of people here in the forums willing to help you with just about any issue you may be having with a CC proggie. Speak up (in the correct forum) and be specific.
Let's not get all hurt.

Um, here's my bitch and ditch: Coffee Cup Rules. Great software, easy to use and excellent support community.

Wait, that didn't sound bad enough. Here I go again.

Coffee cup disappoints me, it didn't make me coffee again.

PS: If google picks up these negative vibes within the threads, it's good as users who are unsure of a software or company's rep might want to visit and read up on these threads and in the end, they for themselves get to see how swift and attentive the company and community can get, and that's a good thing really.
My tee shirt site http://www.teedojo.com, warmly and fuzzily done with SCC + SCD. I kinda like it even if I've yet to sell any shirts! Hah!

Catch me and say hi!. I don't bite, but I will help you with your website so you can kickstart your web presence today.

If David wanted to give CC a public lambasting it didn't really work, all it did was trigger off a lot of replies in support of CC.
Leave the thread as is.

I'm a furniture guy. I have been fighting trying to get my own website up and running the way I want it since back when the internet elite thought it was wrong to put credit cards and sales info on the 'information' highway. A long time. I've used Frontpage, I've used the stuff my hosts have provided, I've used VERY expensive web developers. I have never been happy with what was produced. I'm a professional furniture guy, but I'm an all around perfectionist.

I found Coffeecup by total accident. A client I was doing some furniture consulting with mentioned CC. I checked it out because I had just had my 'host provided' shopping cart dumped - by accident - with all my copy, etc. gone in the process. I tried Shopping cart creator. It worked great. Some problems with capabilities, some business issues to deal with, but I worked around them and have my store on my own computer where I can manage it and keep it as I see fit. I'm actually getting a lot more orders with the SCC store than I did with anything else.

So then I decided to try branching out. I bought Visual HTML Editor. I'm a furniture guy. I was disappointed when I discovered it wasn't totally VISUAL. The support forum people are WONDERFUL. They actually respond, and they actually try to solve problems - not just duck and pass the buck, or sell some more stuff. After a go-around or two on the issues, they suggested I should be using Visual Site Designer. Another upsell, I said to myself - in disgust. Well, I bought VSD, and it didn't upload right. I was upset about this. I complained and, yes, I bitched. Again, the support folks were great. They worked with me, and they understood my frustration without taking it personally. With VSD support working with my host support, we all determined there is something in my computer which is a 'glitch' that, to this day, makes uploading impossible through the program. So what? Coffeecup and my host helped me get it done through Firezilla. That may be a bad word here, but they just cut through the sales crap and solved my problem. HOORAY FOR COFFEECUP!!! I'm very confident that one of these days I'll find the problem, or they will write a new upgrade which works around whatever it may be.

I just can't say enough positive about CC. I'm not one to blow somebody else's horn unless they're paying me. CC is NOT paying me, and I'm very willing to toot the tuba for 'em. They will stick right with you when you have a problem, and they'll solve it one way or another - in my experience. Yours may vary, but I doubt it.

Keep up the good work folks!
