Hello there,
First and foremost, I must just say what amazing work your father does. Beautiful.........stunning.
I truly love pencil and ink work as the images cannot get away with sloppy work usually. Can't cover up a mistake with a blob of paint!
As for the site - the concept is great so my only "criticism" would be that you seem to have made the image galleries slightly different sizes - OR - you haven't used the useful little guage in the VSD interface to get the bottom colour swatch lined up in exactly the same place on every page.....
Just in case you hadn't noticed it - down the right hand corner of the screen you will find the little x and y coordinates which are extremely useful for lining up objects. Just highlight the object and either drag and drop it, or use the directional arrows for nudging it just where you want it.
Alternatively, once you have lined up correctly on one page, just copy and paste to subsequent pages.
I personally prefer the written indications on my image galleries for the audio (which I normally turn off for download times), albums and play commands. And I like to put in the arrows to allow visitors to move forward as they like through the thumbnail images.
Don't forget you could always get your Dad to produce something to replace the CC images and maybe retain a "corporate" style with your interesting site text image........
I am looking at your site on XP IE6 at 1280 x 768 and see at least one of the galleries chopped off slightly at the bottom - which could mean that you need to arrange the gallery on a higher level - or better still - drop the bottom colour swatch down the page very slightly.
Hope you regard all this as positive criticism, as I really do like the overall effect of your very attractive and striking site.

Hi is realy a great artist!

About the site, it looks really good, but i should make two changes.
I should place the whole page a little bit lower, so that at the top of the site there will be
some black space... in that way i think the whole page will look much beter.

I also think the font size of the menu is way to small, i have good eyes but older people
will have a hard time reading it and there is enough space left to make it bigger.

I like that enterbutton with those moving colors! :-)

Very nice :) though i agree on the font size in the menu being too small... and also noticed the bottoms of the slideshows being chopped off slightly (using FF2)
Have fun

I so appreciate everyone's feedback I am going to take everyone's suggestion and change the site just a bit to make it even better. I agree with the image galleries and now that I have taken an even closer look, I so don't like that. So again, thanks all.

Well since my last post in November 17th, 2005 07:31 AM on this subject, I now still have http://www.winnipeghenna.com and have love the way it's grown. I am still a huge cc fan!!! but here are a couple of other sites' I've played with

http://www.bedofrosesonline.com - A Canadian band that does Jon Bon Jovi covers. They're pretty darn awsome. CC helped me put in the opening flash, the photo galleries and make it easy to navagate

http://www.hamsagayatri.com - Yoga, star charts and alternative medicine from the pandit and his wife at our Hindu temple

Thanks CoffeeCup for years of service!!

proud mom of new webby:

http://www.charactercompany.com/

I had, and am still having a hard time deciding on page sizes...I hate the way the first two pages had to be squeezed vertically to fit the 980x720px format that I sort of settled on......would love any feedback/suggestions.......

Ok, it's not technically my website. But, I did design it.

Can anyone guess my inspiration?

I would appreciate any input on my site, www.walterbjenkins.com. It was originally designed with VSD, but I have redone it with HTML editor 2007. I plan to eventually add a little more flare (flash, etc). I'm hoping it is clear, clean, professional looking and "idiot proof." I know just enough about computers to be dangerous, and it would be great to have some feedback from those who are more knowledgeable than I am. Thanks.
